A trip to London can be a special occasion: a theatre visit, a birthday meal, a family day out or time exploring the city. Start with the places you want to visit, then plan your outward and return travel around them.

If you would like United Cars to help with the journey from Maidstone, Tonbridge & Malling, Ashford or elsewhere in Kent, send your itinerary to our team. We can discuss vehicle options, availability and a quote for your plans.

Choose the day that suits your group

A matinee can work well with a daytime meal or a shorter visit. An evening performance might suit a celebration or a dinner beforehand. For a day out, decide which stop matters most and build the rest of your plans around it.

Ideas include exploring Covent Garden before a show, enjoying a meal in the West End, or planning a riverside visit on the South Bank. Check opening times and any reservations directly with each attraction or restaurant before fixing your itinerary.

Check the theatre name, address and performance

Keep the exact theatre name, postcode, performance date and start time from your ticket confirmation. A show title alone is not enough for a taxi booking. If you need an accessible entrance or have questions about seating and facilities, speak to the venue directly.

Use Official London Theatre and the theatre’s own information to check what is on and plan your visit. Tickets, entry requirements and performance details should be confirmed with the venue or your ticket provider.

Allow time for the evening you want

Tell us whether you are going straight to the theatre or stopping for dinner first. Share the full address of the first stop and any other planned stops so the journey can be quoted correctly.

Plan to arrive before the performance: allow time for the road journey, getting from the drop-off point to the entrance, ticket checks and finding your seats. Follow the theatre’s own arrival advice.

Arrange the return before you set off

Check the expected running time, including any interval, with the theatre. Then agree a return collection time and meeting point with our team. Allow for leaving the building and reaching the pickup point after the show.

A return journey does not automatically mean a vehicle will wait outside throughout the performance. Confirm the arrangements you need when booking, keep your phone available and contact our team if your plans change.

Your London trip booking checklist

  • Pickup address, date and preferred departure time.
  • The exact theatre, restaurant or attraction address.
  • Performance time and any meal or attraction reservations.
  • Passenger numbers, bags and any travel requirements.
  • Return collection time, agreed meeting point and a contact number.

Compare options in our fleet, especially if your group would like to travel together. Ask us to confirm the full quote, including any applicable parking, waiting, tolls or other charges, before you book.
